The Furniture Training Company courses and other resources are now available via a monthly subscription. Instead of purchasing a seat in a course, you can now buy monthly access to all the training courses. That's right. FTC Joins Furniture First
We are excited that Furniture First recently announced that it is now offering The Furniture Training Company services to its members. Bill Hartman, president of Furniture First, says that having a well-trained sales staff is crucial for maintaining profitability. "On a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the most important), an on-going training program rates at about an 11," Hartman says, "Retailers that have a training program in place perform so much better during tough economic times than those dealers who have no training program in place."

Did You Know...
Thomas Chippendale is one of the most influential designers in the history of furniture. Working in mid-eighteenth century London, he designed gracefully carved chairs, often with cabriole legs and pierced splat backs. Chippendale's work set the standard for traditional furniture and still influences customers' tastes today.
Chippendale's influence is due in part to the fact that he arranged for his designs to be published in a book known as The Director. This book allowed other furniture makers to imitate his designs and spread his style to generations of furniture makers across the world.
